It's an Old-Fashioned Steve Week in Toronto!

I'm having an old-fashioned Steve Week in Toronto, partly to prove I've still got it, partly because...well, LOOK AT WHAT'S GOING ON!
  • Tuesday (yesterday): Toronto Symphony Orchestra Christmas with the Canadian Brass. This, incredibly, was my first time ever at Roy Thompson Hall.
  • Wednesday (today...obviously): Memphis, whose plot was paint-by-numbers but whose musical pastiche score and energetic cast made for an enjoyable (if not particularly memorable) evening.
  • Thursday: Leafs vs. Sabres; I'm also toying with the idea of seeing Hair in the afternoon, although I've already got tickets for a performance next week
  • Friday: the Headstones (who I've somehow never seen)
It'll take some doing to top the stretch in July 1998 when I saw nine plays (four in Toronto plus five in Stratford) in eight days, but I've got to start somewhere. And I'm not slowing down: still on the agenda is Hair, 2 Pianos 4 Hands, American Idiot, and at least one more Leaf game. It's great to be back in the groove!

Headstones?! Dang it if they ain't touring. Awesome. The Big Sugar concert somehow triggered a Headstones resurrection in my collection.

Yup, I was pleasantly shocked by my timing--I've somehow never seen them. Speaking of never having seem someone, how was Big Sugar?
