I've found it so nice not watching TV regularly for the mostpart. I'll catch a few shows, and some online in downtime, but I don't feel like I'm missing anything huge.
I haven't watched a non-sports television show in years; the closest I've been was Being Erica, but even then I didn't feel a great sense of loss if I missed an episode (or three, or five...or a season, for that matter). Plus, with shows now on DVD or Netflix, there's no pressure. You can view them as extended movies.
I prefer them that way for sure. Far more enjoyable to OD on a show over a long weekend and get multiple seasons in than waste certain nights for multiple years.
